PIA National Names Matthew J. Cranney 2018 Young Insurance Professional of the Year
WASHINGTON – Matthew J. Cranney of M3 Insurance Solutions in Madison, Wisconsin has been named the 2018 PIA National Young Insurance Professional (YIP) of the Year. The award was presented on April 24, 2018, by the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents (PIA) and was sponsored by The Rough Notes Company.
The PIA National Young Insurance Professional of the Year award recognizes outstanding achievement by a young insurance professional. Sponsored for the 13th year in a row by The Rough Notes Company, it was presented during a gala luncheon ceremony on April 24, 2018, in Arlington, Virginia.
“We often say there’s not enough time to list all of a winner’s accomplishments. With Matt, that’s literally true,” said PIA National Vice President/Treasurer Dennis Kuhnke, who presented the award.
“Matt has all the talents and leadership skills that our industry needs for today and into the future. He draws accolades from his employer, his agency colleagues and the carriers that the agency represents, and his PIA colleagues. He is a leader in PIA of Wisconsin and has served on the Board of the Applied Client Network – Large Agent Alliance. And as a young agent, he is mindful of our industry’s need to attract more young people into the ranks of Professional Insurance Agencies. He is praised for his leadership, his dedication, his positive attitude and all of the many attributes that make him unique,” Kuhnke said.
PIA of Wisconsin Executive Vice President Ron Von Haden added, “It is remarkable that at his young age, [Matt] has risen to Vice President of Insurance Operations for one of the largest and most prestigious independent agencies in Wisconsin. His intelligence, passion and energy have earned him the respect of his agency colleagues and the carriers that the agency represents.”
Cranney is also a contributing member of his community, giving back through involvement in the United Way of Dane County, Leadership Greater Madison, and his local church.
