State Offering New $5,000 Small Business Grants
Qualifying small businesses can now apply for $5,000 in grant funding from the Wisconsin Tomorrow Small Business Grants program. Applications are currently being accepted through the deadline of 4:30 pm on June 7th.
This new grant program is being administered through the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) and the Wisconsin Department of Revenue (DOR), using funds from the federal American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA).
Small businesses wishing to apply for the grants must meet certain criteria, including that they have more than $10,000 and less than $7 million in annual revenue. The full list of criteria and other frequently asked questions can be found here.
With the information in your 2019 income tax return, the online application should take 15 minutes to complete. Up to 84,000 small businesses will be awarded grants.
