Former Badger Mutual President/CEO Roy Bubeck Passes

It is with deep sadness that I share the news of the passing of Roy Bubeck, who served as the President/CEO of Badger Mutual Insurance from 1998 to 2012.

As you know, Roy was a beloved leader, well-known and respected across our organization and agency force. But he was more than a CEO; he was a mentor and friend to many, including myself.

Roy’s leadership was defined by his unwavering commitment to trust, individualized service, and a sincere dedication to our employees, policyholders, and partner agents. His efforts were instrumental in shaping our local presence, establishing meaningful partnerships with organizations such as the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee and Make-A-Wish Wisconsin.

His dedication to excellence, partnership, and philanthropy became deeply embedded in Badger’s foundation — an impact that would contribute to our success long beyond his tenure. 

As we reflect on Roy's legacy, we are reminded of his core principle: "earning the trust of customers, one at a time." His commitment to community, family, and service continues to guide us, ensuring that his influence endures in all that we do.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date; details will be provided as they are available.
