The Professional Insurance Agents of Wisconsin (PIAW) is proud to announce Alyssa Hobgood of BWO Insurance in Oak Creek as the 2024 recipient of the Ron Von Haden Agent of the Year Award. This prestigious award, named after the late Ron Von Haden, a long-time leader in the Wisconsin insurance community, annually recognizes an agent who demonstrates exceptional commitment to the insurance industry, independent agents, and PIA of Wisconsin.

Alyssa’s career in the insurance industry is both impressive and inspiring. After starting her professional journey as a recruiter for truck drivers, she transitioned to the insurance carrier side, working as a commercial lines underwriter. She later moved into the agency world, becoming a third-generation independent agent at BWO Insurance.

Alyssa is widely known for her deep industry knowledge and her extensive network of connections. She is often the first to lend a hand or provide guidance, making her an invaluable resource to colleagues and clients alike. Her dedication to excellence in her work and her commitment to protecting her clients' futures sets her apart as a leader in the field.

In addition to her leadership in her career, she is a strong leader within her association - the PIA of Wisconsin. Over her years of involvement, she has played a significant role in various committees and initiatives such as serving on the PIA Board, the Legislative Committee, the Young Professionals Insurance Network, and chairing the Convention Committee. This year, her leadership for PIA extended out to D.C., where she advocated for her fellow independent agents in Congress.

PIAW is honored to recognize Alyssa Hobgood as the 2024 Ron Von Haden Agent of the Year. Her passion for the insurance industry, her commitment to her clients, and her dedication to the PIAW make her a true leader and an inspiration to those around her.

The entire PIAW community extends heartfelt congratulations to Alyssa on this well-deserved honor!
